The Romanesque Gardens Of Burgundy
Approximately one hundred 11th and 12th century churches and chapels (either wholly or partially Romanesque) dot the Southern Burgundian landscape. The density of Romanesque buildings is so great in this limited area that it has been called a “Romanesque Garden”. Explore the Charolais-Brionnais, the “Country of Art and History”, where the ‘Romanesque Road’ - part of the European TRANSROMANICA Culture Route – winds its way through these exciting remnants of medieval culture.
